JZJN is seeking Junior to Intermediate Designers to join our team. JZJN is a unique design-centered studio focused on bringing projects from concept to construction in a meaningful way. Our team of collaborators are based in North Adams, NYC, Boston and Portland, ME. 

Part-time and full-time positions are available. A hybrid work arrangement is possible with regular check-ins at our North Adams, MA location. JZJN is a licensed architectural firm and can provide a wide range of required NCARB experience.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:

• Have an interest in seeing projects through from concept to construction
• Have a desire to gain experience with a diversity of project types: Residential, Hospitality, Cultural and Commercial
• The ideal candidate will have 1-5+ years of architectural experience
• An accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture degree is required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
• Excellent Modeling and Rendering Skills (Rhino and Blender experience preferred)
• Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills are required
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Northeast (MA, VT, NY, CT)

The core responsibilities for this position are as follows:

• Work directly with the firm principals and collaborators on project specific tasks
• Production of client presentation material and visuals 
• Project based research, from code and zoning to materials and finishes
• Complete drawings and documentation of projects from start to finish
• Generate visual representations and graphics
• Visit project sites during the early design process, during construction and at project closeout
• Attend regular check-ins and work sessions at our North Adams, MA office
